Tarp pocket sizing
Note that the tarp dimensions include the flattened pocket. For example, if you specified that your tarp is to be 10 feet wide with a 5" pocket, the pocket will start at 9' 7". If you plan to put a round bar in the pocket, please size the pocket according to the following table:

A pocket is a channel created by folding the tarp into itself as shown here. Note that when you insert something into the pocket this will expand the sides of the pocket causing the total length to shorten slightly. The column on the right shows how much the tarp will "shrink" when you insert the indicated pipe size. For example, the 10 foot tarp with a 5" pocket and a 2 ⅞" pipe will shrink by about 1.5" resulting in a finished length of about 9' 10.5".
